This should be shared far wider to all performing arts teachers and studios.

Give yourself the confidence and peace of mind that comes with knowing your teaching is risk-aware, boundary-conscious, and supported by clear, practical processes reflecting new industry protocols. The Consent Workshop equips you with tools to honour your students’ individuality, empower them to use their voice, and teach lessons on consent that extend far beyond dance. Whether it’s physical corrections, partner work, or classroom dynamics, this training will help you create a space where students feel respected — all while protecting their boundaries and yours. Content writer for AusDance QLD on consent/wellbeing
Cindy presents this sensitive and relatively new to the industry topic with clear, student friendly, yet industry appropriate language. Both students and teachers found Cindy’s workshop to be extremely valuable and easy to implement within the classroom.

It's Cindy here!
Hi dance lovers
I'm an Ex professional dancer, dance teacher and yoga lover who loves anatomy
I’ve been incredibly fortunate to dance my way across international stages as a performer, and for the last 17 years, as an educator. And because I can’t resist adding to my teaching toolkit, I’m now a qualified consent and boundary specialist for stage and screen—fancy, right?
Being an educator, and learning new consent based industry protocols, it makes complete sense to howe important it is to share these with the Dance community. Industry currency is a must, but teaching our dancers about consent ... that's truly powerful. What an opportunity we have.
So now, I literally wake up & go to bed every day thinking ... how can I share this with the dance community, helping teachers bring a new approach to their teaching and students.
I hope you get as excited as I do about making even more of a difference in the lives of the students we teach.
